Category One Consulting recently completed a review of ten social service programs funded by the Housing Authority of the City of Erie. They did a great job researching the ten organizations, and it was obvious by the Executive Review and the individual agency reviews they conducted, that they had a concept of the services the agencies provide, their commitment to providing those services, and the issues the Housing Authority would need to address going forward. I would highly recommend C1C for their commitment to the scope of services and the finished products that they provided.
Michael R. Fraley, Executive Director, Housing Opportunities for the People of Erie

Learn From Our Leaders
Creating a culture of on-the-job learning requires intentional efforts from management to provide employees with meaningful challenges while promoting curiosity, goal setting, timely feedback, and reflection.
Succession planning seems like something that is far off—something you will need down the road, but it doesn’t always feel urgent for today. But you don’t know when a key leader might unexpectedly step away, and suddenly it IS urgent and you’re not ready.
Focus groups can be an invaluable tool for nonprofits, whether you’re designing a new program or evaluating an existing one. They provide more nuanced feedback that surveys or quantitative data alone might miss.
