C1C Year in Review - A Look Back at Our 2022 Posts!

2022 was another busy year for our team at C1C. To celebrate and reflect on the year, we have compiled all of our blog posts. Check out some of our favorite topics of the year!

In 2022, C1C focused on best practices spanning organizational culture, compensation, grant planning, and much more.  

  1. January: C1C Year in Review - A Look Back at Our 2021 Posts!

    We ended 2020 saying that it was a year to remember, and 2021 turned out to not be much different… For better or worse, these last years will likely be stuck in our memories for quite some time. Check out this post to see all the topics we covered in 2021!

  2. February: Team Building: Why it’s Important and Some Ideas from Our Team!

    This time of year is often a time of setting goals and plans for the year to come. While all of these things are important for setting the organization up for success, we often forget to also plan and make time to connect with our fellow team members.   3. March: Four Steps for Conducting Compensation Analyses

    If your organization is like a lot of others out there, it probably gives employees an annual pay increase of about 2 to 4% to account for cost-of-living increases. Although finding work meaningful is a somewhat subjective experience and seemingly different for everyone, we have outlined a few steps organizations can take to make work more meaningful for their employees.

These are just a few articles that have been written that suggest there is just one way to run, lead, or manage an organization. In this post, Sara outlines a few unique tactics used at C1C that may be outside the mainstream, but work well for us!

  9. September: Three Ways to Ensure Your Next Strategic Plan Doesn’t End Up on the Shelf Organizations and the teams within them create strategic plans to set their course for the future. One challenge strategic plans often face is that they can end up being “put on the shelf” and are seldom referenced until it’s time to conduct another strategic planning process. Check out this post for three ways that we help clients ensure strategic plans are assets rather than boxes to check.

  10. October: Tips for Implementing a Hybrid Model of Remote vs. In-Office Work

    Over the last couple years, many employees have enjoyed the benefits of working from home as workplaces sought to minimize in person interactions during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, many workplaces are opting to adopt a hybrid model that seeks to find a balance between the old and new ways of operating. While businesses want to adopt this Goldie Locks approach, they are struggling to implement it effectively. Here, we’ve shared a few tips to help implement the hybrid model successfully and in a way that meets your business needs.

  11. November: Five Tips for Monitoring Strategic Plan Progress

    An organization’s strategic plan is meant to be a living document that should be revisited regularly to assess progress and to make adjustments as work unfolds. At C1C, we recommend a quarterly strategic plan monitoring process to assess plan progress, discuss barriers, and celebrate wins.   12. December: Creating a Grant Evaluation Plan

    Most grants require an evaluation for determining whether the goals and objectives of a grant-funded program or initiative have been achieved. A grant evaluation plan outlines the goals and objectives of the initiative and provides detailed steps for tracking progress and measuring impact. Although the specifics will vary depending on the initiative or program being funded, we outline five important components to include when creating an evaluation plan.
